Principal's Message

 Mr. Chris Burian, Principal

McCrary Families,

My name is Chris Burian, and I would like to begin by telling you how honored and excited I am to serve you and your children this school year as Principal of McCrary Elementary.

I spent nine years in the classroom at the elementary and secondary levels (Balfour, Lindley Park, and North Asheboro Middle School). I then became the instructional facilitator for North Asheboro Middle School.  After three years in that role, I became the assistant principal/instructional facilitator of Donna Lee Loflin.  In my fifteen years in education, I truly believe that school and families being a team will lead to students being successful in their school career.

We have the opportunity to build strong foundations in elementary school, which leads to success in middle and high school.  This success then prepares our young adults for success in life.  Our focus here at McCrary will be growing each and every student, while maintaining strong and supportive relationships.

It has been exciting getting to know the staff and meet the families.  A common theme with all staff and families I have met seems to be how focused everyone is on what is best for our students.

I am passionate about education, and truly believe that we all are lifelong learners.  Please reach out if you have any questions.  I am looking forward to a great school year.

Chris Burian
