Fourth-grade students use their knowledge of the four operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) to solve multi-step problems involving real-world situations. They also begin to learn these operations with fractions and will continue to master those fractions concepts in fifth and sixth grade. Your student will be learning to build stamina and to read from multiple sources. Their vocabulary will increase as they read more complicated texts. They will also learn to think deeply about a text and use details about what a book says and what is implied in the text to engage in classroom discussions.
