Kindergarten
Kindergarten students are building foundations for understanding numbers including counting objects and developing the ability to add and subtract small numbers. In reading, students begin to learn basic language skills. For example, they will learn letter names and sounds, rhyming, and blending sounds into words. Expanding your child’s vocabulary is essential to his/her ability to read and understand stories. Your child will also begin to experiment with writing and will use writing to share ideas and feelings and to give information.
