Hello Blue Comet Family, my name is Marian Hanner and I am your newly appointed Assistant Principal. Let me begin by sharing how honored I am to work alongside Dr. Moody and his Administrative team. I am very excited and eager to serve you and your students this school year.
I have worked in education for 14 years. During that time, I have served as an Assistant Principal, and Curriculum Facilitator at both the elementary and middle school levels. I have also served as a Math Interventionist, Classroom Teacher, and an Instructional Assistant. Currently I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I also hold a Masters of Arts degree in Executive Leadership from Gardner Webb.
It is my belief that it is our responsibility to ensure the success of all students. We must build positive relationships with our students, while building strong community and family partnerships. These things coupled with great instruction will help ensure that all our students graduate and become productive members of society.
