Read 20 Minutes Every Day

This one habit has a huge impact on student achievement. Students who read 20 minutes every day (even during the summer and on weekends) score in the 90th percentile on standardized test. Help your child find a book using the resources below and encourage them to read everyday.


Tiger Tales Trading Post

Visit the school when the office is open this summer to browse the selection of free books to take home and read. The Trading Post is located inside the main entrance doors in the hallway outside the office.


Scholastic Book Wizard

Find books on your students’ reading level. Check the report card to know what level your child is currently reading.


Randolph County Public Library

ACS students can check out library book for free using their Student ID Number (lunch #). The library is open all summer and has many programs specially designed for elementary-aged kids.
