Families

Families Make the Difference!

We love our parents and their involvement at our school. If you would like to serve at Guy B. Teachey Elementary School, you are encourgaed to contact our school's Parent Teacher Organization (see right). We also have a number of volunteer opportunities in which families may participate. If you would like more inforamtion, please contact the Guy B. Teachey Elementary School office by calling (336) 625-4163.

Advanced Math Placement

We work diligently at Teachey to provide opportunities in math that push our students to their potential. We use a variety of data including observation, classroom assessments, formal testing, and work samples to ensure our students receive the intervention and enrichment that they need. If you would like to request your child be formally identified for advanced learning opportunities in math, you may request your child take the NC End of Grade Assessment in math, as this assessment did not occur at the end of the 2019-2020 school year. To do this, please contact our principal, Ann Evans or our assistant principal, Rhonda McHenry to discuss eligibility for this additional testing.
