Asheboro City Schools Responds to COVID-19
ACS is continuing to work with public health officials to monitor the ongoing novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. At this time, all public schools are closed to students by Executive Order from Governor Roy Cooper until May 15. Below is a link to our Coronavirus (COVID-19) Resources webpage. We will update this information everyday by 7 p.m.

School Resource Officers

ACS School Resource Officer's (SRO's)

Asheboro City Schools is fortunate to have four professional School Resource Officer's (SRO's). Officer Haven and Officer Voncannon are located at Asheboro High School, Officer Lambert is at North Asheboro Middle School and Officer Torrain is at South Asheboro Middle School. Our resource officers also serve all of our elementary schools. To reach one of our SRO's please call the main office of the school they are located at, or through the police department at 336-626-1300.
A School Resource Officer (SRO) is defined as the following:

A certified law enforcement officer who is permanently assigned to provide coverage to a school or a set of schools. The SRO is specifically trained to perform three roles: law enforcement officer, law-related counselor and law-related education teacher.
