School Health Advisory Council

School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) is an advisory group of health and education sectors of the community. SHAC provides advice to Asheboro City Schools’ on aspects of the school health programs to accurately evaluate the needs of young people and identify the resources necessary for progression. Our council is comprised of representatives from the eight components of school health (physical education, health education, nutrition services, family and community, mental and social health, staff wellness, school environment, and health services).
