Principal's Message

Principal's Message

Loflin Students and Families,

It is an honor to serve as the principal of Donna Lee Loflin Elementary school. I am a proud Loflin Lion that has been privileged to serve Loflin for the past 4 years. I look forward to connecting with our new students and families, and to welcome back our returning students this school year.

At Loflin Elementary, our expectations are centered around “respect”. Our goal is to create an environment where all students respect themselves, each other, learning, and our school. This atmosphere creates a space where students feel safe to express their thoughts and use mistakes as part of their learning process. We believe in a growth mindset where students can feel comfortable knowing that they may not know something yet, but with perseverance and determination, they will achieve their goals.

I look forward to spending a lot of time with your children - getting to know their personalities, learning styles, and interests. I promise to celebrate their successes, small and large, and encourage them each day by letting them know they are valued and have a special place in our school community.

It is my belief that a strong relationship between the parents and our school will ensure that our children reach their full potential. We must work together to empower our students to become successful lifelong learners. It is through our joint efforts and partnerships that we will continue to make Loflin a great place for our children.

As we begin the school year, there are many ways to connect with Loflin Elementary School. Please check our school website regularly for information and updates. You can also follow us on FaceBook, where we post pictures, celebrations, and upcoming events for our school. Each teacher has a ClassDojo page where you will receive important updates about your child’s classroom activities and important announcements.

I look forward to a wonderful school year. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or ideas that you would like to discuss.

Thank you,

Lisa Hayes
