Assistant Principal's Message

Kelly Patton, Assistant Principal

My name is Kelly Patton and I am honored to serve as assistant principal at Charles W. McCrary Elementary School!  I have worked in Asheboro City Schools since 2016, previously as an Academically Gifted Teacher and then as an Instructional Facilitator.  Prior to coming to Asheboro City Schools, I worked in Randolph County as an elementary teacher, AVID facilitator, and Lead Teacher. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I then completed my AIG licensure through Pembroke University and my School Leadership degree from Appalachian State University.

I am proud to work in a district that has such a rich heritage, and is student-centered and focused on innovation and equity.  I am also excited to continue working with the students, family, and staff of McCrary Elementary.  This will be my sixth year serving in our school.

I look forward to working together this year with all students, families, community partners, and staff to make McCrary the best learning environment possible for all.  By working together, we can help the students here at McCrary lay the foundation for a successful future and work toward the ultimate goal of graduating a proud Blue Comet from Asheboro High School!

My door is always open and I am always willing to help in whatever ways you may need.  Please don’t hesitate to contact me.  I am anticipating a wonderful year! Mustang Pride!

Kelly Patton
