On May 10th students were given a special opportunity to celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islanders Month. The specials teachers here at Balfour planned a celebration in the Multi-Purpose Room during each grade level's specials time. They showed videos on what this month means and then broke off into groups to do different activities. Ms. Boucher had the Ukulele Club perform "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." Then, students played games and did some dot art in the art room. It was wonderful for the children to experience these activities and learn about a different culture than their own. Thank you to the specials teachers that planned and put together this event!
