Asheboro High School was recognized in several ways at the Asheboro City Schools Board Meeting on January 12, 2023. Several teachers earned National Board recognition and our Men's Soccer Team was presented with the Asheboro Pride Award from Mayor Smith.

I would like to send out CONGRATULATIONS to the AHS Wrestling Team for capturing their 4th consecutive Mid Piedmont Conference Wrestling Championship last Friday night against Montgomery Central.The AHS Wrestling Team will be traveling to Fred T. Foard High School in Hickory, NC on Saturday at 1:00 pm to compete in the 1st & 2nd round of the NCHSAA 3A State Dual Championships. The 1st round match will be against Ashe County and then the 2nd round will be against the winner of the Fred T. Foard/West Charlotte match. Please wish the guys good luck!.I would also like to congratulate Coach Jake Berrier for being named the Mid Piedmont Conference Coach of the Year!

Asheboro's Collegiate Collaborators are a group of AHS alumni who volunteered time during their winter break to work with students on Biology EOC preparation. These students represent the graduating classes of '20,'21 & '22 from UNC CH, NCSU, Harvard, Appalachian State, John Hopkins, UNCC & UNCG.
