Let's Hear from You!

The Asheboro City Board of Education is considering revisions to the 2020-2021 school calendar. They are also considering two proposed calendars for the 2021-2022 school year. These calendars will be under review for the next 30 days. The Board will take action on these items at their March 12 meeting. Between now and then, we ask you to review the calendars and submit your feedback to feedback@asheboro.k12.nc.us

Proposed calendars can be found at the following location:

Safety Patrol

Our school’s safety patrol program consists of willing and responsible 4th, and 5th grade students. Each safety patrol member while on duty will be wearing a bright green safety vest. The safety patrol will assist with the safe and orderly movement of students in the hallways between 7:30 and 7:50 each morning and 2:15 and 2:35 each afternoon.
There are six safety patrol stations located throughout the school and designated by a sign. Safety patrol members should be on time at their assigned duty station and use a positive approach when reminding students to follow safe procedures.
Safety patrol is open to all 4th, and 5th grade students with parent and teacher permission. Safety patrol members usually have duty for one week out of the month. They may select either morning or afternoon duty. Safety patrol members are given a monthly calendar that highlights their assigned duty week. Consideration and/or accommodations in your transportation should be made if you are an afternoon bus rider; it has proven difficult for bus riders to fulfill their responsibilities.
