Seniors 
 
College Visits:
Students should see Ms. Jackson in Student Services at least 5 days prior to your planned college visit to receive instructions to get it excused.  Seniors get two pre-approved excused absences and juniors, sophomores, and freshmen get one pre-approved excused absence for a college visit taken during the school week.
 
Senior Quotes: 
Seniors, please submit your senior quote for the yearbook by October 31. See your Class Canvas page for the google form to submit. 
 
Attention Seniors: The October Scholarship Bulletin is now live. The scholarship bulletin can be accessed through your Canvas page or the Student Services website. 
 
General Announcements 
 
Do you want free classes at RCC? Due to overwhelming response, we have extended the spring sign-up deadline to October 12th. Please make an appointment with Ms. West before 10/12 to secure your spring RCC classes.

Key Club:
Key Club members: Don't forget to join us for our meeting on Thursday (10/11) after school! This meeting will be held in Room 126 (Church). Pick up a Trick or Treat for UNICEF box, sign up for Trick or Treat in the Park, and more. Reminder that Key Club applications and dues are due by October 25- so it isn't too late to join!   
 
NHS:
NHS Meeting Wednesday Oct 10th at 3:30 in Mrs. Hildreth's room make up meeting will be Thursday Oct 11th at 8:00am. 
 
Faculty and Students- Chorus is selling Butter Braids- flavors include four cheese, chocolate, strawberry cream cheese and more! Ask a Chorus student or Mrs. Gallagher how to order today! 
 
Student Council 
Student Council meetings will be held every Friday in Mrs. Lyons' Room Comet Corner 603 during every lunch. Bring your lunch to Mrs. Lyons' Room.
 
USA Test Prep:
Attention Blue Comets,
You can now start using USATestPrep for attendance make-up this Fall semester.

Do NOT use your Chromebook to charge your cell phone...this will ruin the battery!! 
 
Student Enrichment Programs:
Any student interested in learning about student enrichment programs to help  prepare for academic, career and college opportunities should visit the monthly bulletin located on the home section of Class Canvas page.  
 
 
Remember Students to check the Asheboro High School's website for the scrolling annoucements for information as well as the TV screen outside the media center for announcements. 
 
Athletics
 
Swim Team:
If you are interested in being apart of the Asheboro High School Swim Team and couldn't attend the meeting, please come by Coach Hinson's room in Comet Corner to get the information that was missed. 
 
Baseball:
Mandatory Baseball meeting for any Freshman & Sophomores interested in playing baseball this spring. Plan to meet today, Wednesday, Oct 10 at 3:30 in Coach Risso's room 405. Workouts and team expectaions will be discussed. Attendance is expected.
