BIG NEWS for the ACS Education Foundation
BIG NEWS for the Asheboro City Schools Education Foundation!

We are so grateful and absolutely humbled to share that last week the Asheboro City Schools Education Foundation received the largest pledge in the organization's 30-year history. While the donor wishes to remain anonymous, the pledge could range anywhere from $270,000 - $500,000 as a bequest of their estate. This pledge will afford even more opportunities for high school seniors to accomplish their post-graduation goals.

The Asheboro City Schools Education Foundation was created in 1991 to provide continuing support of Asheboro City Schools and its educational programs, and to provide philanthropic opportunities allowing donors to make gifts which will improve the quality of education for students in Asheboro City Schools. Each year, the Foundation awards approximately 25 scholarships to deserving seniors ranging in amounts from $500 - $2,000.

Applications for Asheboro High School seniors will be available on the ACS website starting January 2022. Interviews will then be conducted in May 2022, and recipients will be announced at Asheboro High School's Senior Awards Night in late May 2022.
