SIGN UP NOW TO PARTICIPATE IN SUMMER READING AT THE PUBLIC LIBRARY!
 
The public library offers prizes and programs for summer readings! Check out the Teen Zone website to get information about events.  
 
 MIDDLE SCHOOL LIBRARY MEETUP TUESDAY 7/30:  Come hang out at the public Library with NAMS and SAMS andcomic book artist John Czop Tuesday, 7/30 at the public library!!  Drop by and pick out some books from 5:00 - 6:00pm and participate in the drawing event from 6:00 - 7:00pm. Check your school Facebook page for other summer events and opportunities.
 
Reading Logs will be available in the front office, Mon - Thurs from 8:30am - 4:30pm
They can also be found on this page and at the your school's Destiny Home Page (www.destiny.asheboro.k12.nc.us)  Rising 6th graders will go to their Elementary AR site.

Summer Reading Rules and Recommended Reading

ALL STUDENTS ARE RECOMMENDED TO READ 4 BOOK OVER THE SUMMER!!
 
Students who read 5 or more books on their reading level and score 80% on an AR test or complete a summary reading log for all 5 books will be eligible to attend our Summer Reading Celebration, held during the first few weeks of school, as well as two additional rewards.

Students who read 4 books on their reading level and score 80% on an AR test or complete a summary reading log for all 4 books will be eligible to attend our Summer Reading Celebration, held during the first few weeks of school, as well as one additional reward.

Students who read 3 books on their reading level and score 80% on an AR test or complete a summary reading log for all 3 books will be eligible to attend our Summer Reading Celebration, held during the first few weeks of school.
