As we finish out the 2018 calendar year, we had lots of exciting events here at Loflin. On Thursday, December 13th, we had our PBIS Polar Express Movie Night. This event raised money for PBIS and included watching The Polar Express, hot cocoa and other concessions, and pictures with Santa. The event was a great success, and fun was had by all involved!
We closed out our final week before break with a schoolwide read-in. Throughout the day on Friday, December 21, students and staff participated in various activities and events centered around reading. Each class had the opportunity to hear a story read by either Mrs. Hayes or Mr. Burian. Grade levels also visited Camp Read-a-Lot, where they enjoyed hot cocoa, special read alouds, and time to read in tents and around the campfire. Additional reading activities were held within each of the classrooms throughout the day.
