Members of the Asheboro City Board of
Education attended the North Carolina School Boards Association (NCSBA)
District 5 Meeting in Davie County on Wednesday, September 19, 2018. Board
members received professional development and training via several breakout
sessions that were offered.
While at the meeting, the Asheboro City Board of Education was presented
with a 2018 NCSBA Silver Bell Award. The
Silver Bell Award recognizes boards where every member has actively worked
towards meeting their 12 hours of training during the July 1 through June 30
timeframe. Chairman Kyle Lamb accepted the award on behalf of
the board.
The Silver Bell Award reflects school board member’s commitment to training excellence for the 2017-2018 NCSBA Academy Year of the NCSBA's Academy of School Boardsmanship. In addition to the award presentation, Board members received legislative and NCSBA updates. Various professional development breakout sessions were also available.
The Asheboro City Board of Education showcased
their award at their meeting on Thursday, September 20.
