Family Literacy Night: A Huge Success!!!

Students performing dances they learned.

Our Family Literacy Night was held on February 15th.  It was a huge success!  The evening started with a traditional Spanish dance performance.  The audience was dancing along with the group and everyone seemed to love the traditional, colorful dress the group was wearing.   After the performance parents walked down to their children's grade levels to learn about different literacy strategies that they can be using at home with their children.  These strategies were to help the children make more progress in different literacy areas.   While parents were learning about these different strategies children were learning how do some of the dances that instructors taught them.  The night ended with the children putting on a performance of the different dances they learned.   Thank you to all families that came out to learn these new strategies and for supporting your children! We hope to see you at our next Family Literacy Night on April 10th!!!
