The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction has worked collaboratively with school districts within North Carolina to update our curriculum and to develop new essential standards for several content areas. This process is on-going through NC DPI's Accountability and Curriculum Reform Effort (ACRE). Updates to the curriculum can be found at: http://www.dpi.state.nc.us/acre/standards/
