Dear Parents, Staff, Students and Community Members,
Welcome to the 2012-2013 North Carolina School Report Card information site. The annual North Carolina School Report Card offers ways for Asheboro City Schools’ stakeholders to learn more about our school district. The school report cards contain information about student performance, class size, attendance, school safety, instructional resources and teacher quality in our schools.
This year we are especially proud that our four-year cohort graduation rate reached an all-time high of 86.3 percent. The graduation rate has also increased across each of our district’s subgroups. The steady increase of graduation rate reflects a deep commitment on the part of the Board of Education, staff, students and parents.
While we had many successes to celebrate in the 2012-2013 school year, there are areas for improvement that we continue to address. In June of 2013, the Asheboro City Board of Education approved a new three-year strategic plan. Working together, I am confident that our strategic plan will guide the district in the right direction and further our vision of helping each student graduate prepared and globally competitive for careers, college and citizenship.
Individual school report cards are provided to give stakeholders a snapshot of how schools in our district compare to others in the district and the state. I encourage you to review the school report cards and contact the principal at your child’s school with any questions you might have. Thank you for your continued support of Asheboro City Schools!
