FAN workshop set for elementary parents
Understanding your child’s report card and preparing for a Parent/Teacher conference is set for October 4th in the Professional Development Center at 6:30pm. This workshop is designed for parents of elementary students in preparation for the first report card and conference period scheduled for mid-October.
“We want parents to feel comfortable with the report card and how this can be used as a tool for academic success,” said Dr. Harper, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction. “We also want parents to be engaged in the conference process, to partner with teachers and be well informed about their child.”
Parents and the community at large are invited to participate in the October 4th workshop. Registration deadline is September 30th, child care and transportation are available upon request. Registration forms are available on-line at the district website (www.asheboro.k12.nc.us) under the parent tab on the upper right of the page.
