CenturyLink sponsors academic award
Asheboro City Schools and CenturyLink are pleased to announce the winner of this year’s CenturyLink Superintendent’s Award, honoring high school seniors for maintaining an unweighted grade point average of 4.0 their entire high school career.
“I am particularly honored to have this award named the CenturyLink Superintendent’s Award. CenturyLink is a strong supporter of education in our community and this is a fitting tribute to this outstanding senior,” said Dr. Diane Frost, superintendent.
One senior received the eighth annual CenturyLink Superintendent’s Award during the June 3rd scholarship awards night: Sarah M. Johnson.
“We are pleased to have a terrific community partner in CenturyLink that values outstanding academic achievement.”
Carson Robinson, CenturyLink District Operations Manager for western North Carolina and Charles Watson, Asheboro Area Manager were on hand to present the award along with Dr. Frost. This exemplary student was presented with a specially designed crystal award to honor his superior high school achievement.
