AHS students to participate in All-State Chorus
AHS students to participate in All-State Chorus
Five chorus students from Asheboro High School will participate in the North Carolina High School All-State Chorus event on January 25 and 26, at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex and War Memorial Auditorium.
Justin Hutton, senior, will participate in the 11/12 SATB Choir directed by Dr. David Rayl of Michigan State University; Tanner McMahon, sophomore and Payton Burnette, freshman, will both participate in the 9/10 SATB Choir directed by Stephen Hopkins of Appalachian State University; and Ashley Wicker, junior and Lauren Karaman, sophomore will both participate in the SSA Women’s Choir. Mrs. Delores Crutchfield, AHS Chorus director, will serve as the accompanist for the SSA Women’s Choir under the direction of Rollo Dilworth, composer and Director of Choral Activities, North Park University, Chicago, Illinois.
The All-State Concert will be Saturday, January 26 at 3:00pm in the War Memorial Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public. The All-State event is sponsored by the North Carolina Music Educators Association and the North Carolina section of the American Choral Directors Association.
